College Quality AssurancePolicy:

Focuses on two main axes:

 

1. Institutional capacity

2. Educational effectiveness

-         The faculty adopts theNational Academic Reference Standards (NARS) issued by the National Authorityfor Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation for its Arab programs.

 

-         It adopts ARS StandardAcademic Standards for the E-Language Media Program and the teaching/assessmentprocesses for students/admission and internship policies are based on them.

 

-         The quality unit wasestablished in the Faculty in 2006, an internal quality system was established,and a regulation for the unit was established. The main objective of the unitwas to obtain institutional accreditation for the college and its academicprograms from the National Authority for Education Quality Assurance andAccreditation. The college obtained this in 2017 and applied for renewal ofaccreditation in 2022.

 

The unit's vision is to achieve excellence andquality in the college's performance in the field of institutional capacity andeducational effectiveness.

Its mission is to ensure, assure and developthe college's quality, continuous improvement and evaluation of performance inline with the college's mission and achieve its strategic plan.

 

Its strategic objectives:

-         Spreading the culture ofquality among all parties in the Faculty.

-         Developing a system ofanalysis, measuring and evaluating academic, research and administrativeperformance, community service and environmental development, and making everyeffort to continuously improve performance, identify strengths and weaknesses,and identify threats and opportunities.

-         Determining developmentneeds and following up on their implementation.

-         Gaining the trust ofgraduates and employers in media institutions and the community's trust in theoutputs of the process. education and cooperating together to improve thegraduate’s specifications in line with the requirements of the labor market.

Unit tasks:

1-Supervising the description of programs and courses and preparing reportsrelated to them

2-Participation in developing the college's strategic plan and its implementationplan.

3- Carryingout feedback tasks for all parties (students - graduates - faculty members andsupporting staff - administrators - employers, practitioners and civil societyorganizations - leadership style questionnaires / job satisfaction /performance evaluation / student satisfaction / quality of services).

4- Preparingthe self-study for the college.

5- Preparingresearch and opinion polls for students and beneficiaries of the college'sservices.

6- Collectingand analyzing data and proposing correction and development procedures.

7- Organizingworkshops and training courses.

 

The qualityof college education depends on the inputs/process/outputs.

• Inputs:Providing a suitable environment for students (through financial, material,human resources, and services that support students and the educationalprocess).

• Process:converting inputs into outputs represented in activities related to teachingand learning, teacher and student behavior, management and support system / therole of research in teaching / quality assurance and curricula.

• Outputs:Activate the tools and procedures to measure the expected learningoutcomes/student success rates/dropout rates/characterization rate/measurelevels of satisfaction of stakeholders/faculty members/students/alumni, andanalyze them to take corrective decisions and actions.
