The Faculty of Mass Communication received a prominent delegation from the Open University Malaysia (OUM).
Under the auspices of each of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Othman Al-Khosht, president of Cairo University, and Prof. Dr. Howayda Mostafa, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, the Faculty received a prominent delegation from the Open University Malaysia (OUM).
The welcome ceremony was organized under the supervision and organization of Dr. Alaa Fawzy, the executive director of the Center of International Media and Intercultural Communication (IMIC). The event was attended by the associate deans of the faculty, the heads of the academic departments, members of the academic staff, the directors of different faculty units, members of the IMIC center, and the faculty's general secretary.
The Malaysian delegation was headed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Izanee Awang, president of the Open University Malaysia, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Mohamed Afiq Redzuan, the CEO of Meteor group. The delegation was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Azmi, counselor of International Cooperation.
Prof. Dr. Howayda Mostafa stated that this visit is part of the activities of the IMIC center to enhance the cultural and scientific relations with global universities and explore means of cooperation in terms of scientific research, academia, staff, and students exchange for mutual academic and research exchange of experience.
The delegation was shown around the faculty and informed about the educational systems. Additionally, the delegation visited the faculty's studios, labs, and academic departments.
The members of the delegation met with the faculty's staff and administration.
A brief about the education system at both undergraduate and graduate levels of the Faculty of Mass Communication was presented.
From its side, the OUM presented an introductory video about the University.
Finally, a discussion was opened to explore the means of cooperation between the two parties.
