The Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University is announced to be the ICA’s regional hub in Egypt (EGICA) for this year and created the first scientific Symposium for research updates that will be held on 22nd and 23rd of June 2024 under the sponsorship of ICA.
The Faculty hails the inclusive opportunities provided by the annual ICA conference to partner with regionally created hubs to open the gateway to local scholars whose limited time and material resources make it inconvenient for them to attend the global conference annually. We applaud this initiative and work on integrating more departments and scholars in the upcoming rounds.
Benefits of Participation in EGICA 2024
Exposure: Attend virtual sessions at the ICA 74th conference, held in Australia
Networking: Engage in open discussions with local, regional, and international research communities, including a special session with the ICA Regional Hub in Indonesia
Contribution: Submit original papers in different languages (AR – EN – FR).
Publication: Accepted papers will be published in a special issue of the scientific Journals at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University
Awards: Three prizes will honor outstanding research in memory of the late Professor Mohamed Al-Wafaei. Two additional awards will be granted for the poster competition, along with certificates of attendance and/or participation
Procedure for Participation
For all prospective participants intending to submit their research on any of the suggested themes, kindly email an abstract in Arabic, English, or French to Egica@mcomm.cu.edu.eg by MAY 10 , 2024, at 11:59 PM (GMT+2). Upon receiving an acceptance email, full papers must be submitted by JUNE 10 , 2024.

تعلن كلية الإعلام جامعة القاهرة بأنها المركز الإقليمي ل ICA في مصر لعام 2024 ، وتقام أول نسخة من الملتقى المصري للمستجدات البحثية 2024 برعاية ICA ، والمقرر عقده يومي 22 و 23 يونيو 2024.
تشيد الكلية بالفرص الشاملة التي يوفرها مؤتمر ICA السنوي للدخول في شراكة مع المراكز التي تم إنشاؤها إقليميًا لفتح البوابة أمام الباحثين المحليين حضور المؤتمر العالمي سنويًا. ونحن نشيد بهذه المبادرة ونعمل على دمج المزيد من الأقسام والباحثين.
مميزات المشاركة في الملتقى :
حضور جلسات افتراضية في مؤتمر ICA 74، الذي يعقد في أستراليا.
الاتصال والمشاركة في مناقشات مفتوحة مع المجتمعات البحثية المحلية والإقليمية والدولية، بما في ذلك جلسة خاصة مع المركز الإقليمي لـ ICA في إندونيسيا.
المساهمة بتقديم الأوراق الأصلية بلغات مختلفة (AR – EN – FR).
نشر الأبحاث المقبولة في عدد خاص من المجلات العلمية بكلية الإعلام جامعة القاهرة.
ثلاث جوائز للأبحاث المتميزة . سيتم منح جائزتين إضافيتين لمسابقة الملصقات البحثية ، بالإضافة إلى شهادات الحضور أو المشاركة.
إجراءات المشاركة
لجميع المشاركين الذين يعتزمون تقديم أبحاثهم حول أي من الموضوعات المقترحة، يرجى إرسال ملخص بالبريد الإلكتروني باللغة العربية أو الإنجليزية أو الفرنسية إلى Egica@mcomm.cu.edu.eg
بحلول 10 مايو 2024، الساعة 11:59 مساءً (بتوقيت جرينتش) +2).
عند تلقي رسالة قبول عبر البريد الإلكتروني، يجب تقديم الأوراق كاملة بحلول 10 يونيه 2024.
